WHAT was she thinking???

So, I am getting the girls ready for bed, when I hear Madison frantically yelling EMERGENCY, EMERGENCY!! I went into the bathroom full on expecting something minimal from the drama mama, but this time she was right!

Before my eyes was an open drawer with a thick layer of toothpaste intentionally spread across the entire drawer! I couldn't believe it, WHY???

All fingers pointed to Michelle. She sheepishly looked at me with a daring smile...(what is up with the smile I thought) I was not happy to say the least, but I am really trying to control my tongue in these kinds of situations, so I sternly asked her why she did it. She looked at me thoughtfully said, " I wanted to get in trouble because I like to clean." Hmmmmmm I am not sure what to think about that one. Maybe my plan to punish my kids by giving them more jobs is having the opposite effect! Any advice?......

Because of Dave's cunning remarks during opening arguments at trial this morning he got the case dismissed, because of that, one of the partners at his firm called him a dragon slayer. The girls thought that title was pretty cool. When Dave was tucking Michelle in, he told her goodnight and to keep being a good girl, to which she replied: Goodnight and keep slaying dragons!

Michelle was explaining to Dave why she was willing to be such a hard worker. She said that she wanted to help me out because I was pregnant and she knows that pregnant women have needs. I whipped out the video camera and had Michelle in the spotlight, and I asked her what her teachers name was, low and behold it came out Mrs. Sh**, I could hardly hold the camera steady.

We had homemade pizza for dinner last night. I fed the girls and set aside some for Dave for when he got home from his meeting. Michelle came up to me and said: "Mom we ate all the pizza and left one piece for Dad." Apparently I wasn't clear that they weren't supposed to eat Dad's pizza, and I was upset cause now there wasn't any left for him. I asked Michelle what she was thinking, eating all that and she said, "I was thinking about....Pizza!"

I was helping Dave with his new gadget that helps keeps his knee iced, and it has a very heavy adapter that has to be plugged in, Michelle was helping me carry stuff and getting him all hooked up and she dropped the adapter on her foot.
Me: "OW! Michelle, are you ok?"

While driving in the car I was describing to my kids, if I were a horse what I would look like, which sounded a lot like what "Spirit" looked like. Maddie said she was a quarter horse (which according to her is a racing horse, I wouldn't know.) Then Michelle pipes up and says, " I am a penny horse!"
